We stopped at the first rest stop north of the Mackinac Bridge and were delighted to find ourselves back on the North Country Trail.
Mom decided we didn’t need to rush home so we went for a hike instead!
There was a couple of inches of snow on the path but the blue blazes made it very easy to follow.
After 1/10 of a mile we found ourselves within Straits State Park.
We kept along the North Country Trail.
And managed to find our way to this bridge overlook! It was a really nice short hike and I recommend anyone driving through this way to take the time and check it out.
We were there for less than half an hour and mom didn’t even need to change into hiking shoes!
Miles: 1 or less.
