Cat’s are Stupid

In winter people go ice skating on Great-grandma’s ponds (if there is not to much snow to shovel), they strap blades of death onto their feet and go out onto the scary ice.

This is me and my cousin. I think she’s pretty great, look how close I am to the ice!

I better get out of there! I’ve got some sense after all.

Cats on the other hand, DON’T.  Look at him walk right out onto the ice!  Crazy.

And here he’s way out on the ice standing between blades of death and the little kids have gotten out projectile weapons! I fear for the little dudes life!

Then I noticed Grandma trying to sneak one too so I scuttled out of there!

We went hiking today!

My human cousin wanted to come with so we ended up bringing this thing along. He’s my ‘cousin’ Harvey. He’s a total brat.

The first half of the hike was a easy paved path and then we headed down to the river bottoms.

I spend a lot of time sniffing on the way downhill.

The footing on the way down was pretty terrible so we took a break when we got to a nice spot a the bottom.

Harvey wants to be just like me.

I let them take the lead for a little bit. Of course on the way up I have no desire to stop and sniff.

Harvey was a trooper.

Finally at the top again! Mom made Harvey and I keep a 5 foot no mans land between us on the whole hike.  Did I mention I didn’t eat him?? I’ve gotten so well behaved.

Today’s hike was just beautiful, we had perfect cool weather and mostly empty trails.

Harvey has to stay in that cat-kennel for the safety of everyone in the vehicle. (LOOK! I’m mere inches away from the little brat.)

On the way home the people stopped to go in this store and look at the World’s Largest Boot.
